My name is Mansi Tiwari, and I come from the city of Narmadapuram, nestled in the heart of India — Madhya Pradesh, a state renowned for its rich culture and tourism.
I am currently a medical student and a dedicated yoga practitioner.
My interests span across reading, practicing yoga, modelling ,traveling, and acting, all of which keep me grounded and inspired.
From an early age, I was a curious child, always eager to embrace challenges and explore new horizons.
This curiosity, combined with my compassion, inspired me to pursue a career in medicine to serve and uplift my community.
I believe in channeling my energy and enthusiasm into meaningful work that impacts lives.
Much of my early life was shaped by the wisdom and warmth of my grandparents, who played a vital role in nurturing my values.

My journey into medicine has been filled with relentless effort, late nights, and personal growth, which I embrace as necessary elements of success.
In addition to academics, I find great purpose in the discipline of yoga, which strengthens both my body and spirit.
I am also drawn to pageantry, as it challenges me to refine my personality and showcase my abilities beyond the classroom.
I see every failure and difficulty not as a setback, but as an opportunity to uncover my hidden potential. To me, success is not just a destination but the perseverance and learning along the way.
My goal is to grow into a well-rounded individual both as a doctor and as a representative of strength, grace, and purpose.
I am Mansi Tiwari, and I believe in living a life driven by passion, service, and self-discovery.

Can you tell us how you got started in the modeling industry?

My journey into modeling began somewhat unexpectedly when I participated in a pageant that had both online and offline components. I went through an interview process and, to my surprise, got selected on my very first attempt. At the time, I had no formal training, no professional portfolio, and very little idea about how to navigate something as big as Miss India. Still, I took a leap of faith and ended up being selected as one of the 24 finalists from Madhya Pradesh Miss India. That moment was a turning point—it gave me the confidence to pursue modeling seriously, and since then, I’ve continued to build my career while managing my studies alongside it.

How many years have you been modeling, and how has the industry changed since you began?

I’ve been modeling for a little over four years now—almost five—and during this time, I’ve witnessed some incredible changes in the industry. There’s been significant progress in areas like pageantry, brand campaigns, and the range of opportunities available for emerging talent. The industry has become more dynamic, competitive, and open to fresh ideas and diverse faces. I’m truly grateful to be part of this evolving space where I can express my interests, challenge myself creatively, and continue growing. It’s exciting to see where modeling is heading, and I’m definitely looking forward to what’s next.

What types of modeling (runway, commercial, editorial, etc.) have you been most involved in?

I’ve primarily been involved in commercial modeling, especially brand shoots, which have allowed me to explore a wide range of concepts and connect with diverse audiences. While I haven’t done much runway work due to the height requirements—I’m 5 feet 4 inches—I’ve focused on areas where creativity, expression, and storytelling are central. I believe there’s a lot of power in connecting with people through visuals, and I’m always open to new opportunities as I continue expanding my portfolio.

What has been your most memorable modeling job to date?

Every modeling job I’ve done has been a valuable learning experience, helping me grow in different ways. But if I had to pick the most memorable, it would definitely be my first TV commercial. It was a truly special moment—especially because it was for a very well-known brand from South India. The commercial is set to release in the coming months, and I’m genuinely excited and grateful for the opportunity. It marks a significant milestone in my journey, and I can’t wait to see how it unfolds.

Have you worked with any brands or designers that particularly influenced you?

I’ve had the opportunity to work with several well-known brands, including a prominent jewelry brand and a number of textile and clothing labels. While I may not have collaborated with an extensive list of big names just yet, each experience has been deeply meaningful. What influences me the most is the journey itself—every shoot and project pushes me to grow, refine my craft, and evolve as a performer. It’s the process, the people, and the passion behind each assignment that continue to inspire me in this field.

What’s one photoshoot or runway moment you’ll never forget?

One photoshoot I’ll never forget was actually my very first one. It was arranged by a local photographer, and I had no professional experience at the time. I brought my own outfits, did minimal makeup myself, and gave it my all—without really knowing how things were supposed to go. The shoot was for a pageant I had entered, and despite being completely new, I poured my heart into it. What made it truly special was the support from my parents, especially my mother, who helped me organize everything from the costumes to the location.

As for runway moments, the most unforgettable one would be getting selected as a finalist for Miss India and making it to the finale round of auditions in Mumbai. That experience was incredibly close to my heart and marked a major milestone in my journey.

What do you think sets a professional model apart from a beginner?

I believe the main thing that sets a professional model apart from a beginner is experience and consistency. Every professional was once a beginner—they faced challenges, made mistakes, and kept pushing forward. Professionalism doesn’t happen overnight; it comes from learning, evolving, and showing up with dedication time and again. A beginner is someone in that phase of growth, striving to reach the next level through persistence. It’s a journey, and what truly matters is your commitment to improving with each step.

How do you prepare for a shoot or fashion show, both physically and mentally?

Whether it’s my very first shoot or my 50th, I always prepare well in advance—usually the night before or even earlier. I organize everything from shoes and makeup to costumes and plan the types of poses I might need. I also research the brand or project to understand their style and vision, which helps me mentally align with what they’re looking for. Physically, I maintain a regular fitness routine, working out at least six times a week to stay in shape and feel confident. For me, mental preparation is about doing my homework and stepping onto the set or runway with clarity and focus.

How do you handle rejection or criticism in such a competitive field?

I believe it’s very important to understand the specific requirements of each opportunity. You can’t be the right fit for every role or project, and that’s okay. It’s about recognizing the vision and perspective behind each requirement and accepting that some auditions or jobs simply may not be meant for you. Instead of trying to force yourself into every opportunity, it’s better to focus on where you are the right fit.

Regarding criticism, I see it as a valuable tool for growth. Sometimes criticism reflects personal taste or preference, but other times it highlights areas where I can improve. I take feedback positively and use it to identify any gaps so I can work on them and deliver my best in the next opportunity

What are the biggest misconceptions people have about modeling?

The biggest misconception is that modeling is all about glam, fame, wearing short clothes, and that it’s for people who don’t want to study or just want to be out there. But that’s not true. Modeling isn’t just about wearing short clothes—it’s about talent and what you bring from within yourself. It’s about carrying that talent forward and constantly working to reach the next level.

Models put a lot of hard work and soul into their profession. Whether it’s expression, posing, walking, acting, or anything else, it takes dedication and effort. Modeling is much more than just the surface it’s about the craft and passion behind it.

Do you feel the industry is becoming more inclusive and diverse?

Yes, I do feel the industry is becoming more inclusive and diverse. There are so many talented people out there putting their hard work and soul into this profession, chasing their dreams and passion. I see a lot more inclusivity, diversity, and fresh talent coming into modeling, which is really encouraging It’s inspiring to see how the industry is evolving, and I’m looking forward to what comes next.

What changes would you like to see in fashion and modeling in the next five years?

Fashion is always changing—it keeps evolving and moving forward. But what really matters is expressing yourself and being confident, no matter the time or trends you’re going through. In the next five years, I would love to see even more inclusivity and fresh opportunities for diverse talents. I hope more brands step up to support different styles and stories, and that the industry encourages everyone to bring their own unique patterns and voices to the table. Overall, I want modeling to keep growing as a space where creativity and individuality are celebrated.

How do you maintain your health and fitness while managing a demanding schedule?

I work out six times a week and make sure to avoid outside food as much as possible. I also stay away from sugary drinks and sugars in my diet. My meals are usually high in protein, low in carbs, and rich in fiber. I never skip any meals and try to have my dinner as early as possible in the evening. After dinner, I take a walk for about 10 to 15 minutes. I also surround myself with positive people—my friends and family—and this helps me maintain my overall health and well-being.

How do you unwind or stay grounded outside of modeling?

I stay grounded by always being true to myself and never pretending to be someone I’m not. I focus on being the kindest and best version of myself. My background in the medical field has taught me a lot about patience and humility, which helps me stay calm and grounded both personally and professionally.

What advice would you give to young women entering the industry today?

My advice to anyone entering the modeling field is to do proper research and ask people you know who have experience, so you don’t end up in the wrong place or a trap. Understand which area of modeling suits you best, and work on yourself—not just your health but your overall personality. Be confident in your work and profession, stay true to yourself, and don’t fake who you are just to please others. When your opportunity comes, give it your best and ace it.
