Can you tell us how you got into the modelling industry?

I’ve been passionate about modelling since I was a child — I used to watch Fashion TV and imagine myself walking those runways. That dream stayed with me as I grew up. While I explored different paths like corporate and real estate, modelling remained something I truly loved. Eventually, I decided to take it more seriously, and it’s been about three years now. It’s been a journey of growth and self-discovery, and I genuinely feel this is my purpose. Modelling and acting have always felt natural to me, and I’m excited to keep evolving in both.

How many years have you been modelling, and how has the industry changed since you began?

It’s been about three years on and off. The industry has opened up a little more to individuality and boldness, but it still takes real patience and strength to grow here.

What types of modelling have you been most involved in?

I’ve done a mix — fashion weeks, e-commerce, beauty pageants, ethnic, concept shoots, and editorial. I’m mostly into bold modelling, including bikini shoots, as I have the body and confidence for it.

What has been your most memorable modelling job to date?

My first shoot — I was so happy and excited that I was finally doing what I loved. It was a big emotional moment for me.

Have you worked with any brands or designers that particularly influenced you?

Yes, I’ve worked with a few, and I remember each experience clearly because it meant a lot. Every shoot helped shape my journey.

What’s one photoshoot or runway moment you’ll never forget?

Being the First Runner-Up at Miss Earth India 2024 in Bangalore. That moment made me feel proud of myself and made my family proud too. I’ll never forget it.

What do you think sets a professional model apart from a beginner?

Dedication, discipline, patience, and mindset. It’s not just about looking good — it’s about how you carry yourself, even through rejection.

How do you prepare for a shoot or fashion show, physically and mentally?

I stay fit and confident — especially for bold shoots — and mentally, I stay focused on why I started. Confidence is everything.

How do you handle rejection or criticism in such a competitive field?

I never take rejection personally. I believe better opportunities are always coming and I focus on improving myself.

What are the biggest misconceptions people have about modelling?

That it’s easy. It’s not. There’s a lot of competition, emotional pressure, and hard work involved. It takes more than just beauty.

Do you feel the industry is becoming more inclusive and diverse?

Yes, slowly. There’s more acceptance for bold personalities and diverse looks now, but there’s still a long way to go.

What changes would you like to see in fashion and modelling in the next five years?

More space for bold women, individuality, and strong mental health support in the industry.

How do you maintain your health and fitness while managing a demanding schedule?

I stay active, eat well, and maintain a strong physique — especially important for the bold work I do. Mental balance is key too.

How do you unwind or stay grounded outside of modelling?

Travelling is my escape. I love exploring new cultures and meeting people. It makes me feel fresh and helps me grow.

What advice would you give to young women entering the industry today?

Believe in yourself, know your purpose, and don’t let society define your path. This is your life — do what makes you happy.

What advice would you give to young women entering the industry today?

Follow your passion with confidence and stay true to yourself. If modelling is something you love, go for it with dedication and belief. Keep learning, growing, and enjoy the process. You have one life — make it meaningful by doing what makes you happy. Every woman has the power to create her own path, and there’s so much beauty in that.
